Self-activating
The new Vasofix® and Introcan® SafetyTM I.V. catheters feature a self-activating safety clip that automatically shields the needle´s sharp bevel when the needle is retracted.
Eliminates inadvertent activation
The patented, safety clip mechanism eliminates the risk of inadvertent activation especially during handling.
Immediately shielded
When the safety mechanism is triggered, the clip is instantly deployed on the needle bevel as it exits the catheter hub. The needle tip is shielded as it is withdrawn from the vein. The patented mechanism permanently attaches the safety clip to the needle bevel, preventing needlestick injuries.
Tamper-proof safety mechanism
Tampering is prevented because the safety clip is self-activating. There´s no overriding the built-in mechanism.
