Continuous innovation
In the UK our Technical Services team continue to find improvements in newly adopted processes. The Warehouse floor has now been sectioned off for kitting up new infusion pumps and ancillaries for each hospital, in preparation for despatch.
In Germany, colleagues who would normally be manufacturing surgical instruments and orthopaedic implants have been retrained to assemble parts for infusion pumps to help service the unprecedented global demand.
Proud to support BBUK Helpline
We received a big thank you from Bladder & Bowel UK (BBUK) for our continued support to the Bladder & Bowel UK helpline through #COVID19.

Our employees are helping protect their communities
Our fabulous employees are helping out in their communities. One couple have set up a service to coordinate food and prescription deliveries for elderly residents in conjuction with their local village store and Doctor's Surgery. Vulnerable folk will place their orders over the phone and once the items are ready, a text message will go out to their post-code 'zone' and a volunteer from the area will go and collect and deliver it.
Renal patient experience
Home hemodialysis can help to greatly improve a patient's quality of life, allowing for personal freedom and control of their own treatment schedule. One of our patients recently spoke of the improvements dialysis at home has made for her.
#wearebusy - supporting our customers
B. Braun Customer Support has increased due to the #coronavirus pandemic, answering questions & supporting health care workers around the globe. This short video shows the experience of our company in Brazil.

One of our Avitum Engineers has been working with a local Hospital to ensure all of their dialysis services can be maintained, servicing machines out of hours when the units are closed, to support their operations and enable them to focus their resources at this time.
Special thanks to our Field Engineer, for managing and carrying out these works and demonstrating B. Braun’s commitment to its customers.

Beware of scams
Unfortunately, some people are using the current Coronavirus crisis to make money illegally and they are getting very good at it: Invoices and certificates are forged in a way that they can hardly be recognized as fake. Furthermore counterfeit products are brought onto the market. This scam no longer only affects masks, but also protective clothing, disinfectants and thermometers. Please remain vigilant.
In such cases of fraud attempts, we advise all our customers to contact B. Braun directly through our official channels (compliance@bbraun.com) to protect themselves and to ensure the delivery of high-quality B. Braun products.
Please also pass on this information to colleagues and your contacts to protect them from these fraudulent activities.

#weareteambb - we look after our people as well as our customers
Over the last couple of years many employees at B. Braun have been formally trained as Mental Health First Responders in a bid to create ‘mentally healthy teams’ across the business and to provide a supportive culture with happy and resilient employees. The skills these staff have acquired are proving extremely useful as we adapt to a very different way of working at this difficult time.
B. Braun at a glance
As a system partner, we aim to provide the best-possible service. In many cases, added value for our customers is created through the interplay of several different B. Braun products & services.

Remote Diagnostic Advice and Training
The ACS Team has delivered the first Apollon video distribution system in the UK. Used in conjunction with the EinsteinVision 3D Laparoscopy Camera, the secure system allows the experience of senior consultants to support remote diagnostic advice from a smart-phone, tablet or desktop computer, preventing potential delays in treatment and helping ensure patients receive the very best clinical care and outcomes.
As a collaboration with the NHS Global Digital Exemplar, this project will be blueprinted enabling trusts to adopt the technology as quickly and effectively as possible.
