Pennies from Heaven Awards 2017
Platinum Winner
B. Braun has received a Pennies from Heaven PLATINUM award for the second year running in recognition of the high numbers of employees participating in the scheme.
This is only the second time PLATINUM has been issued and B. Braun is one of only six employers in the UK to achieve this level.
The Pennies from Heaven Awards are given every year to celebrate fundraising excellence and approximately 55% of B. Braun employees currently round down their salaries every month and donate their ‘spare’ pennies to charity via the Pennies from Heaven scheme. Of course the real winners are the nominated charities and since B. Braun began running the scheme in 2011, over £16,500 has been raised towards charities which have been chosen by the Employee Forums.
In 2016/2017 the British Heart Foundation and the British Kidney Patient Association were chosen by the Employee Forums representing Sterilog and Avitum. In 2017/2018 PACT (Parents' Association of Children with Tumours and Leukaemia) and Cavendish Cancer Care have been chosen by the Thorncliffe Employee Forum.
