Church of St. Nicholas – this Roman Catholic church on the top of a hill in the northeastern part of Bánovce nad Bebravou was originally built in the Gothic style and then remodeled in the Renaissance style in the 17^th century and in the Baroque style in the 18^th century. Its wooden steeple is a particularly interesting feature.

Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity – this landmark from 1802 is situated at the Square of Ľudovít Štúr. The church was damaged in the past by several fires, but  was always reconstructed. 

Statue of St. Florian – the statue stands at Jesenická Street, in front of the new hotel Arkadia where a firehouse used to be. St. Florian, the patron of firefighters and the protector against fire, was one of the most popular and frequently depicted saints.  

The town surroundings are perfect for fishing and water sports, and their beautiful forests have hunting-grounds and are a paradise for hikers and mushroom-pickers. In Bánovce there is also a covered thermal swimming pool called Pažiť.
