Tourist Attractions
Detva is a town in central Slovakia. It is situated beneath the mountain Poľana. It is the biggest stratovolcano in Central Europe. There is a bipsúheroc reserve with the preserved crater in Kyslinky, primaeval forest, protected plants and animals proclaimed by UNESCO.
Podpolianske museum
The Podpolianske museum preserves samples of folklore costumes, musical instruments, home equipment, woodcarving and glass products. They include the biggest wooden dish and the longest chain in Slovakia. Detva also holds the second biggest folklore festival in Slovakia.
