  • Orava Castle – One of the most spectacular and interesting castles in Slovakia, it has also been designated as a national cultural landmark.
  • Západní Tatry Mountains - This mountain range, which stretches over 380 square kilometers has been a part of the Tatry National Park (TANAP) since 1987. This mountain range is also known by the local name "Roháče."
  • Chočské Vrchy Mountains - Although less popular with tourists than the Západní Tatry, these mountains are equally beautiful. One of the area‘s most magical spots is the Ráztocký Waterfalls (seven meters high).
  • Meander Park Thermal Baths (Oravice) – This spa resort is located in the northern part of the Orava region, very close to the Polish border. The natural hot spring, which produces the water used at the spa, has a temperature of 58°C, rising up from a depth of 1,611 meters.
  • Bešeňová Thermal Baths - This resort is located on the banks of the River Váh, about 10 kilometers east of Ružomberok. Rising up 1,987 meters, the local hot spring has a temperature of 60.5°C.
  • Tatralandia Water Park - This resort is located near the city of Liptovský Mikuláš in the village of Liptovský Trnovec. The natural water used in the park is unique compared to other geothermal water sources because it partly consists of sea water. The mineral water at Tatralandia is known for its therapeutic qualities and it is used to treat locomotive and pulmonary conditions. Tatralandia is the largest water park not only in Slovakia, but in the Czech Republic and Poland, as well.
