Tourist Attractions
Orava Castle – One of the most spectacular and interesting castles in Slovakia, it has also been designated as a national cultural landmark.
Západní Tatry Mountains - This mountain range, which stretches over 380 square kilometers has been a part of the Tatry National Park (TANAP) since 1987. This mountain range is also known by the local name "Roháče."
Chočské Vrchy Mountains - Although less popular with tourists than the Západní Tatry, these mountains are equally beautiful. One of the area‘s most magical spots is the Ráztocký Waterfalls (seven meters high).
The Orava Village Museum (Zuberec) - This picturesque outdoor museums is nestled in beautiful scenery created by the massive mountain ranges of the Západní Tatry. The museum, which covers an area of approximately 20 hectares, consists of a number of traditional village houses from different parts of the Orava region.
