THA Pro – The professional choice
THA Pro is the application within the OrthoPilot® HipSuite which provides maximum functionality. Besides the cup position and orientation all relevant parameters of the stem are navigated: leg length difference, offset and ante-torsion of the stem implant as well as resulting range of motion (ROM) of the implant components considering cup orientation. The results of the implantation can be simulated – before the final components are implanted.
Navigation plays an important role in achieving safe surgical procedures and implantation results. OrthoPilot® helps to keep everything in view and results documented.
Software Elements
Palpation of Landmarks
The camera tracks the position of the transmitters fixed rigidly to the bone. By palpation of exact defined landmarks, the individual anatomy of the patient is recorded as basis for all further navigation steps.
Navigation of the Acetabulum
With help of navigated instruments, the hip socket is prepared and the Cup component is implanted. This way the position and alignment of the cup implant, adapted to the individual anatomy of each patient, can be achieved. The reaming depth is displayed in relation to the medial wall and therefore allows a safe reaming and an avoidance of a protrusion.
Navigation of the Hip Stem
The preparation of the femur is also performed by means of navigated instruments. Aim is a positioning of the stem, which ensures a highest possible Range of Motion. In addition, the leg length and offset changes can be adjusted in a mm-range.
At the end of the surgery, the result is recorded and all data is available for documentation purposes.
