Anterior Cruciate Ligament
The ACL reconstruction module expresses once more the capabilities of the OrthoPilot® and its innovative and user friendly software applications.
ACL Features
- Optimized instruments
- Optional integration of preoperative planning for the femoral tunnel positioning, (e.g. with the quadrant method, based on existing X-ray images. No scanning of image data is necessary)
- Planning is done simply by entering the geometric planning information
- Reconstruction according to anatomic and/or isometric criteria
- Display of potential impingement situation
- Using state-of-the-art passive-transmitter technology, for simple intraoperative handling
- Pre-op and post-op stability tests (Lachman test & internal/external rotation)
Software Elements
Precision
Quick and easy referencing of a few anatomic landmarks enables the surgeon to determine, according to anatomic and/or isometric criteria, the optimal location of the tibial and femoral bone tunnels. Additionally, OrthoPilot® provides information regarding potential impingement to ensure optimal function of the graft.
Quality control
The OrthoPilot® ACL offers a pre- and post-OP stability test. The stability check is documented without exposing the patient to additional radiation. A surgery report can be printed and attached to the patient’s file.
