Our Social Value Programme encapsulates all of B. Braun UK’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals into one place, demonstrating our plans to embed social value into our strategy and operations to benefit our employees, patients, healthcare systems and communities for long term impact.
Through measurement and reporting, B. Braun UK is proud to have given back £55.7 million worth of social value in 2025, validated by the Social Value Portal.

Braun programme has become a cornerstone of community outreach, developed as a corporate social responsibility initiative by the B. Braun Sheffield Sharks and Hatters. The programme has engaged over 11,000 students, enhancing the health of children and their families across the region, particularly South Yorkshire.
Whirlow Hall Farm Trust's new Outdoor Classroom, supported by B. Braun.
Whirlow Hall Farm Trust is an educational trust based on a working farm that provides farm-based activities and vocational skills programmes for children, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
As a supporter of the Trust for over a decade, B. Braun was the leading partner for 'The Outdoor Classroom' project, which will enable more children and young people to access meaningful outdoor learning opportunities throughout the year. This new space will help them build confidence, develop new skills and experience the benefits of connecting with nature for many years to come.
Over 20 years of working with YAA has led to offering valuable event management skills and advice and keeping this important charity staying in the air.
Our Employee Sponsorship Scheme encompasses Arts, Sports and Culture - activities that bring people together and fill them with passion. Supporting these activities means that B. Braun employees, and their circles, get the opportunity to help shape our society, to give it new impetus, and enable people to have unforgettable experiences.

B. Braun promotes the taking part in volunteering opportunities and encourages employees to volunteer for activities in the local community. Each year, B. Braun UK employees are eligible for up to one paid day for volunteering in the community.
B. Braun also offers the opportunity to support volunteering projects that span longer than one day on a case-by-case basis reviewed by the Volunteering Committee.
B. Braun’s Carbon Reduction Plans outline its strategic approach to sustainability, focusing on operational improvements, renewable energy use, and employee engagement. The plans reflect a long-term commitment to environmental responsibility, continuous progress, and alignment with national standards for carbon reporting and reduction.

B. Braun’s Social Value Programme drives measurable impact through six ESG-aligned themes, promoting sustainability, inclusion, and wellbeing. Progress is tracked quarterly and reported to the UK Executive Committee.
B. Braun Medical is pleased to have completed the NHS Evergreen Sustainable Supplier Assessment. The Assessment is a self-assessment and reporting tool and resulted in us receiving a Level 2: Comprehensive net zero targets and reporting for carbon emissions. The information reported through Evergreen is supporting us to understand our alignment with NHS sustainability priorities and identify those areas in which we need to accelerate progress.
The Evergreen Assessment is one of several NHS initiatives designed to support its net zero and wider sustainability objectives. We are delighted to be supporting the NHS to achieve their net zero and sustainability ambitions, including those set out in the NHS Net Zero Supplier Roadmap.
B. Braun Medical Ltd have performed a horizon scanning activity using the PESTLE analysis model, highlighting any internal and external risks or opportunities to the organisation to prepare us in our ever changing world.
B. Braun Medical Ltd has completed and maintained the Modern Slavery Assessment Tool (MSAT) to date.

Comprising of B. Braun UK colleagues with environmental, social or governance integral to their roles, the team collaborate on and share KPIs and metrics in our Social Value Programme. Progress is subsequently assessed by nominated members of the Sustainability Steering Group, who provide regular reports to the UK Executive Committee, ensuring accountability at every level.
