Expert Faculty: Led by highly skilled and experienced clinicians and educators in ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia.
Hands-On Training: Practical workshops including cadaveric anatomy, live model scanning, ultrasound-guided spinal and peripheral nerve block practice, simulators and technology appropriate to the learning level and pathway.
Structured Pathway: From Intermediate to Advanced, Advanced+ and Mastery, supporting you through every stage of your regional anaesthesia education journey.
Faculty: Mitul Patel, Ana Robles, Colin Baird, Zacharia Jose, Lucy Halliday, Eleanor Budge (Croydon Health Services NHS Trust)
Overview: A new addition for 2026, designed to bridge the gap between entry‑level and advanced RA skills. This course features ultrasound‑guided regional anaesthesia training, live models, phantoms, and innovative technologies to deliver a high‑quality learning experience without cadaveric stations, making it more accessible and cost‑effective. Delegates benefit from structured scanning practice, guided needling techniques, and interactive sessions focused on sono‑anatomy interpretation. Ideal for clinicians progressing beyond foundational skills in a practical, interactive environment.

Overview: A two‑day RA‑UK ultrasound‑guided regional anaesthesia course designed for clinicians consolidating core RA skills. The programme includes large‑group sono-anatomy demonstrations, small‑group hands‑on scanning (max. 3 per station), and supervised needling technique practice using phantoms and live models. A highlight is the cadaveric anatomy workshop, providing unparalleled insight into structures relevant to single‑shot peripheral nerve blocks and spinal anaesthesia techniques. Delegates leave with improved confidence in performing ultrasound‑guided blocks and interpreting images.

Overview: This course builds on the Advanced curriculum and introduces catheter‑through‑needle peripheral nerve block techniques for continuous analgesia. Delegates experience intensive hands‑on practice, including catheter placement under ultrasound guidance, troubleshooting, and infusion strategies. With low faculty‑to‑delegate ratios, participants receive personalised coaching to refine their technique. Ideal for clinicians expanding their RA repertoire beyond single‑shot blocks into continuous catheter techniques.

Register your interest to receive notifications for London, Bristol, Wrightington and Dundee as soon as they're released. Ideal for clinicians searching for RA-UK courses and regional anaesthesia CPD events.
Through the Aesculap Academy, B. Braun is committed to supporting clinicians with education, innovation, and partnership - because every skill learned translates into safer and more effective care for patients.
Each event has limited capacity, so we advise booking early to avoid disappointment.
The programmes consist of live model scanning and/or cadaveric workshops, so it is important you come prepared for this.
During the course you will be split into groups based on your level of expertise so you must declare this at the point of registration so we can tailor your learning.
All courses are CPD-accredited by the Royal College of Anaesthetists and a certificate of attendance will be provided post-event.
